Experienced MySQL/PHP Developer

Overview:

Tech4Learning is looking for a skilled web developer to join our team. This position will involve the maintenance and updating of existing web-based content delivery systems using MySQL, PHP, and other web technologies, the development of new systems, and contribution toward other projects including Java desktop software.

Applicants for this job should have a background in all aspects of creating database-driven web sites using PHP, MySQL, Apache, Javascript, PERL, CGI, etc. Applicants should also have a thorough knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating systems and security practices and will preferably have Java Swing application development experience.

Ideal Skill Set:

• Extensive experience with MySQL, including database design and advanced queries.

• Extensive experience in *nix system administration

• A thorough knowledge of HTML, PHP, Javascript, etc.

• Experience with server-side file manipulation, including thumbnailing, archiving, upload scripts, etc.

• Java programming experience, including Sun Java Certification, would be a plus
