Learn to create and implement student-directed digital portfolios as an assessment tool to capture student academic performance over time.
Digital portfolios are computer-based collections of student performances over time. Come learn how to use Share productivity software (included in the price of the workshop) to create a portfolio template that demonstrates a student's progress and achievement in a given content area, includes the student in content selection and reflection, and clearly demonstrates the criteria for judging merit.

Workshop Timeline
Morning – Exploring Portfolios and Share Features
Participants will explore ideas and samples for using Share to develop digital portfolios. They will get an introduction to how they can implement the features of Share so they are understand how to add text, images, animation, video, music, and voice narration to a portfolio.

Afternoon – Creating Templates and Implementation Plans
Participants will apply their new skills as they develop their own high-quality sample portfolio as well as a template they can use to begin implementing the process with their students. They will also explore free online resources for Share to further support their future work implementing portfolio assessment.

Pricing
$3000 – workshop for up to 20 participants includes full day of training (6 hours), materials, software (50 licenses of Pixie). and all trainer and travel expenses.
Workshop is available without software for sites who already own Pixie at a cost of $2500.
