MediaBlender 3 lets you turn your interactive projects into products you can share in school and with your community. MediaBlender is an authoring tool that can be used by the youngest students to create projects, and by older students to create advanced multimedia applications.

The size of new projects is determined by the screen resolution and will default to one standard size smaller. So for a 1024x768 monitor the new default project size will be 800x600.

Projects are saved as a single file. Instead of saving a project file and a media folder, projects are saved in a single .PRT file.

Boost - a BASIC based scripting language for controlling MediaBlender events, objects, and actions.

An export menu option lets you choose ways to export the project, including as a Web-ready project, as HTML, and as Images.

An "In use" option for sounds, movies, and graphics makes it easier to reuse media in multiple places in a project. This also helps to reduce file size.

A new button action to open programs or files makes it easier to launch other files on your computer.

The ability to rotate and flip buttons, graphics, and text objects.

The ability to import ImageBlender 3, Pixie, and Twist files as graphics.
