Digital Cameras and Advanced Image Editing

This workshop is designed for educators working with students in all grade levels (6-12).

Goal
Learn how students can create stunning images to address curriculum goals.

Software Skills
Participants will gain experience editing images with digital cameras and ImageBlender learning how to:

• adjust settings, take pictures, and transfer images.
• resize, rotate, and crop images.
• apply visual effects to photographs.
• share images through slide shows and online storybooks.

Timeline
This one-day workshop runs for approximately six hours. During the morning, participants will work with digital cameras and complete an image scavenger hunt. During the afternoon, participants will learn image editing skills as they apply features to transform the digital images they have taken. The day ends with ideas for integration and strategies for implementation.
