Participants begin examining the tenets of project-based learning as they complete a sample project-based lesson.

As they complete their project, they discuss each step in the project-building process and develop new strategies for applying the technology tools available in their schools.

The workshop is designed for educators working with students at all levels (K-12).

Elements
Participants will get an introduction to project-based learning with technology, including:

• ProjectLearn project-building process.
• Heterogeneous grouping and project planning.
• Recipes4Success online resources.
• Skills: digital cameras and Internet searching.

Timeline
This one-day workshop runs for approximately six hours. During the morning, participants will get an introduction to project-based learning as they build their own fun PBL project. After presenting their project and completing the ProjectLearn Project-Building process, they will explore samples of project-based learning with technology as well as get an introduction to the tenets of project-based learning.
