4. Audio CD tracks are not available in the file chooser.

1. Frames does not launch after installation (Windows 2000 or XP). Double-clicking the application icon does nothing.
Some antivirus programs conflict with the installation of the Java components that are installed by Frames.

You can resolve this issue by following these steps:

You need to be logged on as an Administrator.

1. Disable your antivirus software. If you are using Norton AntiVirus, right-click the icon in the System Tray and choose "Disable Auto-Protect". For other antivirus software, consult the application's documentation.
2. Remove any Java versions using the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
3. Run the Frames installer again.
6. Restart your computer and then launch Frames.

2. Frames doesn't find any images in Pics4Learning
If you have a proxy server, you will need to enter the proxy server settings before Frames' Pics4Learning feature will work.

Ask you network administrator or technology coordinator for you proxy server information. Go to the Edit menu and choose Preferences. Click the Proxy Server tab. Enter your proxy information.

3. Music files in iTunes are grayed out.
Music purchased from the iTunes music store is protected by
copyright, also known as Digital Rights Management. These files will display as part of your iTunes library but you will not be able to add them to a Frames animation.

4. Audio CD tracks are not available in the file chooser.
Frames supports MP3, WAV, AIFF and MIDI sound formats. Audio CDs are
in a different format and will need to be converted.

You can find many utilities that will convert CD audio tracks to an MP3 or WAV (commonly known as 'ripping') including iTunes. There are many programs that are free or low cost.

After you've converted your Audio CD or track to a MP3 or WAV, you will be able to add it to Frames.
