VideoBlender does not launch after installation (Windows 2000 or XP).
Double-clicking the application icon does nothing.
Some antivirus programs conflict with the installation of the Java
components that are installed by VideoBlender.
You can resolve this issue by
following these steps:
You need to be logged on as an
Administrator.
1. Disable your antivirus
software. If you are using Norton AntiVirus, right-click the icon in the
System Tray and choose "Disable Auto-Protect". For
other antivirus software, consult the application's documentation.
2. Remove any Java versions
using the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
3. Run the VideoBlender
installer again.
4. Download the latest VideoBlender Update file.

5. Run the file VB2Update.exe.
6. Restart your computer and then launch VideoBlender.

"QuickTime cannot be found...." error message when launching
VideoBlender (Windows 2000 and XP).
QuickTime for Java components
required to run VideoBlender
were not correctly installed or have become damaged. This can happen if you are running
an antivirus program while the installer is running or if you run updates
to operating system or Java software.
To resolve this issue:
1. Log on as an Administrator.
2. Click Start, choose Settings and select Control Panel.
3. Open the Windows Add/Remove Programs control panel.
4. Remove any QuickTime versions that are present. Make sure to click the
"Uninstall Everything" button when removing QuickTime.
5. Disable any antivirus programs such as Norton AntiVirus or McAfee.
6. Insert the VideoBlender CD into your CD-ROM drive.
7. Open the Utilities folder on the VideoBlender. Open the QuickTime
folder.
8. Run the QuickTime
installer.
9. Restart your computer and then launch VideoBlender.
