1. WebBlender does not launch after installation (Windows 2000 or XP). Double-clicking the application icon does nothing.
Some antivirus programs conflict with the installation of the Java components that are installed by WebBlender.

You can resolve this issue by following these steps:

You need to be logged on as an Administrator.

1. Disable your antivirus software. If you are using Norton AntiVirus, right-click the icon in the System Tray and choose "Disable Auto-Protect". For other antivirus software, consult the application's documentation.
2. Remove any Java versions using the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
3. Run the WebBlender installer again.
6. Restart your computer and then launch WebBlender.

2. Pages published to my local computer do not scale (Windows XP SP2).
Windows XP SP2 introduced security settings for Internet Explorer that may stop pages from scaling when running them from your local computer. To fix this problem, download the IE Security Settings PDF file and follow the instructions it contains.

4. WebBlender only displays seven font options.
WebBlender only uses Web-safe fonts. Web-safe fonts are available on most computers and will display correctly on web pages.

5. I cannot subscribe to a podcast I created.
If you have published your site and cannot subscribe to your podcast, check each of the following points.

  • Double-check the podcast URL. This is the most common issue with podcasts. Make sure the Web Address for the podcast in WebBlender matches the URL you type into your browser to see your published site.

  • Use a supported browser. You can use Firefox or Internet Explorer on Windows and Safari on Mac. If you are trying to subscribe using iTunes, make sure the current version of iTunes is installed.

  • Ask your server administrator to make sure the following MIME types are configured:
      .rss text/xml
      .mp3 audio/mpeg
      .m4a audio/x-m4a
      .mp4 video/mp4
      .m4v video/x-m4v
      .mov video/quicktime
      .pdf application/pdf
