Terrorism:
John McCain wants to get our armed forces stronger by recruiting more people. He wants to improve our knowledge of terror groups. He wants more missile defense systems.

Barack Obama wants to increase security at hazardous plants. He wants more formal evacuation systems. He says we need money for adequate protection.  He wants to improve our disaster preparedness.

Economy:
John McCain wants to keep tax rates low for all people. He says we need to cut back on wasteful government spending. He wants to teach Americans so they don't lose their jobs.

Barack Obama wants to raise the minimum wage for workers. He thinks we need to work to keep our businesses successful. He wants to create new laws to protect loan takers for their home.

Iraq War:
John McCain supports the invasion of Iraq. He believes we need more commitment to our troops. McCain says that we need to stay in Iraq to achieve peace.

Barack Obama says NO to the war. Obama says that as president he will take troops out of the war.

Health Care: A lot of people in the world don't have health care. Nearly 47 million people.

John McCain wants to reduce health care costs. He wants patients to be the center of attention.  John McCain does not support universal health care.

Barack Obama also wants to reduce health care costs. He wants to make insurance companies spend more on care.

The Environment:
John McCain thinks it was a good idea in not joining the Kyoto Protocol. He wants to propose the use of different energy sources.

Barack Obama says that America has to lead the effort to reduce emissions. He, also like Clinton, wants a mandatory cleanup system.

Education:
John McCain believes schools should educate every student as much as possible. He wants to reward teachers who do a good job, and fire teachers who teach poorly.

Barack Obama wants the "Zero to Five Plan" to provide support for younglings. He wants well qualified teachers.
