Meet Barack Obama
Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born on August 4, 1961. His parents met while studying at the University of Hawaii. His dad was raised in Kenya, Africa. His mom was raised in Kansas. He graduated from Columbia University in 1983. In 1985 he moved to Chicago, Illinois to help poor people make their neighborhoods better. Then he attended Harvard law school and he graduated in 1991. He was the first African American to become president of Harvard Law Review. He returned to Chicago a little after law school. He also ran for state senate in Illinois 1996. He taught and he was a lawyer. He served as a senator for 8 years. He was the third African American to be elected for U.S. Senate since 1877. He lives in Chicago with his wife Michelle. He has two daughters and their names are Natasha and Malia Ann.
