Paint with Effects

You can paint an effect onto an image. This allows you to apply effects to specific areas of an image.

Click the Paint Effect tool on the tool palette.

The available effects will appear on the Options panel.

Scroll down the list to see more effects.

Click the effect you want to use.

Use the Size slider to change the diameter of the paint brush.

Drag the slider to the left to paint with a smaller brush. Drag the slider to the right to paint with a larger brush.

Use the Softness slider to adjust the hardness of the edge of the effect.

Drag the slider to the left to define a hard edge. Drag the slider to the right to feather the edge.

Move the cursor over the image where you want to begin painting.

Click and drag to paint the effect onto the image.
